How much security deposit do landlords typically ask for in Indian rentals?
Security deposits vary by city — Mumbai and Delhi NCR ask 3–6 months' rent, Bangalore ranges from 6–10 months (locally called "advance"), Pune and Hyderabad ~2–3 months.
