This page explains, in plain language, how Realty of India orders brokers and companies on its public pages — the exact parameters, in their order of importance. There is no other formula: what is written here is what runs.
The broker directory and company member lists
Brokers on the directory, company pages, and similar lists are ordered by, in this order:
- ROI Verified badge. Brokers with a live badge appear first. The badge means two things at once: that person's own government ID is on file with us, and their membership is active. Payment alone never lights it — the document does.
- Verified deals. Deals confirmed by the broker's own client on the client's device, then reviewed by our team. Self-declared numbers don't count here — only client-confirmed ones.
- Recent activity. Brokers active on the platform recently rank above dormant profiles.
- Name, alphabetically, as the final tie-break.
What money can and cannot buy
A paid membership unlocks features, and the identity-verified badge it enables is the first ordering parameter above — that is the whole commercial effect, and now you know it. Nobody can pay to alter a verified-deals count, insert themselves above a better-evidenced broker, or suppress another broker's standing. Advertising on Realty of India is always labelled as advertising and is never mixed into these organic orderings.
Property search results
Property listings are ordered by relevance to your search (location, budget, property type) and freshness — not by who the listing broker is. Listings whose brokers stop confirming availability expire automatically, so stale inventory drops out rather than lingering.
The blog front page
Posts on the blog front page are ordered by reader engagement — likes, comments and shares — weighted so that a comment counts for more than a like and a share counts for most, and then reduced by age so a post fades as it gets older rather than holding the top spot forever. Only signals from signed-in readers count, and a writer's engagement with their own post never counts.
Two rules override that order. The largest slot needs a headline and a cover photo, because it renders at full width. And one writer can hold only one of the three front slots, so a prolific author cannot take the whole page. When too few posts have any engagement to rank honestly, we order by publication date instead and label the block "Front Page" rather than "Trending on ROI".
Sponsored or promotional posts are excluded from the front block and the popular list entirely. They appear only under their own labelled section. Nothing on the blog can be paid into a higher position.
What we deliberately don't do
We do not publish a computed "trust score" or a blended rating of brokers. A single number built from mixed inputs hides which claims actually have evidence behind them, so we show the facts separately instead — identity verification, RERA registration, client-confirmed deals, listing completeness — and let you weigh them. If we ever introduce client ratings, they will be attributed to verified clients, never presented as Realty of India's own endorsement.
