It is responsible for planned development and redevelopment of areas including Mohali, Banur, Zirakpur, Dera Bassi, Kharar, Mullanpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mandi Gobindgarh and Rupnagar, and is chaired by the Chief Minister of Punjab.
