On 10 February 2022, a portion of Tower D at Chintels Paradiso in Sector 109, Gurugram, collapsed; the sixth-floor dining-room slab gave way and triggered a vertical collapse through several floors, killing two residents. Subsequent structural audits cited high chloride content in the concrete, the district authority found multiple towers unsafe and ordered demolition, and an FIR was registered against the managing director of Chintels India for causing death by negligence.
